Description

Another part of my regular cycle route, this little churchyard in Swarkestone, Derby is quite close to a main road, but never gets noisy. It's as if the place simply won't allow the disturbance! Shot just as the sun was coming up back in September & tweaked in CS3. It looks much better if you view fullsize. I love the lighting and the long shadows running from the tomb stones. The sky is interesting with those cloud patterns and the trail! I can almost smell the dew on that lush grass! Brilliant!

Evenly weighted composition with the tree balancing the church. The long shadows are lovely. The whole shot is pin sharp (a rarity on this site). The best part though is the distortion from the wide angle lens used. Just brilliant.
