Description

Made In Cinema 4D XL 7, modeled after the paper street house. this is actually an animated piece, with a photogrammetry fly through similar to the cg elements of fight club. i spent around 3-4 weeks on this. 2 weeks building and another 2 weeks creating shaders. there is still a lot of work i would like to do on this to tighten it up. textured usng lots n lots of bitmaps and edited-photos. this is not a radiosity render, there are a whole mess of lights in there! i think the large render took 6 hours. you are nota beautiful and unique snowflake. you are the all singing all dancing crap of the world.

Very cool. Are those all procedural textures? I'm guessing Radiosity? How many lights, what kind of positions? And dont worry .... I hav'nt forgotten the first rule.... ;)

wow, thanks guys! the textures aren't all procedural, there is a TON of bitmap textures and i layered them on top of each other using alpha maps. for the rust/gunk i did use bhodiNUT procedures. since this image got so much good things, which i really appreciate, i can post more renders of it, there are some cool details like halfsmoked cigarettes laying on the stove and some other things. i actually have an animated photogrammetry flythrough of it, just like in fight club. i wish i could find somewhere to host that. anyway, thanks! i spent a lot of time on it, i think 3-4 weeks, but i was also animating it, and rebuilding things. i think i rebuilt everything three times.

There is something strange about this room ! Although dirty, it seems very clean and not as "worn down" as the textures suggest ! I think the 3d-models are to regular, there are no dents or cracks other then "mapped" dents and cracks. It could use some broken furniture.
