I actually quite like the shot (stage photography is notoriously hard to expose correctly), I just feel the lens flare looks a little fake and over the top.

Good call folks, I'm new to the site. Always enjoyed everyone's work here, so I've decided to throw my hat in the creative ring for your comments. The lens flare is added with photo shop, it was just an afterthought.
