Description

This is allegedly South Africa's biggest Baobab tree and it can be located near Tzaneen in South Africa. Its hollowed out trunk houses a bar and sitting room. For scale, please look closely and you will see people standing to the left of the tree. Next time I may upload photos of the inside.
Thank you for visit and comments to "African daisy by the looks":

Of all the things you have shown us from your corner of the world, this is by far my favorite. I hate that they made a bar in it, but the tree itself is an amazing sight indeed.

I'm a bit saddened that someone felt compelled to dig the heart out of that poor old tree! :(

oh definitely need to do the zoom! What a stunning tree! We get willows here that grow in clumps and I thought they got huge, but they are miniscule compared to this maganificent speciman!!

"Tzaneen" was the first thought that came to mind. Allegedly the Oom says hey? You know of any Boabab bigger than this one? mmm... I stand corrected, but in the Kruger National Park there is also one that's bigger than huge... Nonetheless, I'm not going to be the one to be proven wrong on this. Thanx for sharing Oom Piet!

Wow! wonderful tree! I've had this fascination for baobabs since I was a child. Not that I've ever seen one, except in photos, but the tree was part of a story I read often as a child, The Little Prince of Saint-Exupy... a classic. Plus I always thought name baobab was funny lol Beautiful picture!

This is something I have never seen before, and staring at it I find myself pondering all the time I would have spent playing on it as a kid. But what they have done to it is amazing. This is great you shared it.

You know how I love the Trees too... and this one is really magic, and you touched my heart again ! He's really fantastic, so big and beautiful. He really seems to be the protector of this place ! Never seen one so large in my childrood in Africa ! It's a good idea to have make a photograph with this persons, that give a good idea of the dimension of this giant. A fantastic shot my friend, I love it, and keep your Baobab with me ;o)))) Hugs
