Yesterday, during a snowstorm. I captured this image. I've been trying for most of the time I've been a Rendo member to get a postable image of one of these fellows! (Nearly titled it "Finally!") Thanks for the comments on my previous post "Cold January Sky"

LOL, I know what you mean about 'finally'. I chased one all day the other day, and never could get a good shot, so "Bravo" that you were able to!! They are very impressive birds.

I think he is a very strange looking fellow and I know he's nasty to our trees but this is a superb picture! Especially enjoyed viewing at full size! :-) Bravo Rufous!!
