Description

A small detachment of Dystopian Goliath MST units steadily advance under the cover of a coming storm. My second Vue render and I am slowly making some sense of the interface and all those buttons. I need to work on my skies and my atmospheres... those are particulary bad. The object imports work fine, but the textures still need a lot more study. Thank you very much for taking the time to view this image. As always, your feedback is very much appreciated.

Wow! You think your skies and atmo are bad? Holy Cow, can't wait to see what YOU think is good! I think this is fabulous, the skies are fantastic, the storm clouds look like the real deal, and the misty quality as one goes farther away adds to the depth of this picture. Also it's something I've seen in approaching storms, usually it's rain! Keep up the good work!! This is fab!

Well, if I ever have a need to conquer this planet, I better save up for a few Dystopian Goliath MST units. They seem menacing enough for world domination! Very nicely done Moe!

LOL you sound like me mate when I first used Vue, it's not as hard to use as you first think, and if this is only a couple of hours using it you'll have no problems my friend

Beautiful job on the modelling and the view rendering; Is this model going to be in the marketplace soon; I was hoping that you'd be getting into floating platforms and Star wars-like spacecraft; Anyway, Wonderful job with this one.

Excellent image and model. One little comment though on the covering for walkways to the turrets. Why not make them transparent (reinforceed glass or something) rather than metal so that we can see people walking on them?

looking good moe! Some crits..you mentioned your sky quality, though, even if you kept this grey sky, the scene would be very grey..with a little color in there. Also, the light would be in the rear and low. So there owuld be more of a rim effect and tree shadow..if any..would follow. As for atmosphere, pick a color in the horizon. As that would be the densist area of atmosphere. probally more of a grey also. anyhow..love the composition! Further than I dived into Vue :-) Keep it up buddy. Pete

Love this one, its good to get a close up view of all the armaments and construction of the platform and then with the others in the back ground it gives a good sense of the scale the things and all set of against the trees. The stormy looking sky is great for giving the platforms a real menacing look too!

Those machines look really creepy, especially when I imagine them in action. I think that feeling means that you've succeeded designing them.
