I just watched "Jane Eyre" on PBS and this reminds me of it, a handsome and restrained young woman amid her beloved books. Lovely :)

I like that expression of hers and the character as well, not so Barbiedoll-like but as she really might have looked. Great job!

Dear Irene, The comments are really cool - and show what a warped mind I have!! I too thought of "Clue." AND - I've seen this gal and this look about a gazillion times when motormouth little Meredith when cruising off to the library! In most civilized societies I'd have been gagged for most of my formative years!!! (Hmmm - come to think of it - I still here suggestions to "Gag Meredith" on a fairly regular basis - I'll just ignore those tacky people!!!) ;-) She does have a very stern look - superb posing and expression. The Victorian dress and hair really add tothe effect. As do her cheekbones!!! She would definitely have not appreicated me in the library!!!! Lovely set - I've always thought that rooms like that were so cool!!! Superb work!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith Meredith Elaine Wilson - MeredithLand

Great character work, Irene. She reminds me a little bit of those governesses/nannies you can see in old movies - very well done. And the background fits perfectly, too. :)
