The Hours by NothingNess
Open full image in new tabDescription
Such late hours toiling away gathering and dispelling sentimental scenes The psyche understands what to keep and knows which things to let go The heart remains open embracing the flow Dreams rise catching the light waiting to be spun Wasted hours lying awake revising and stitching together forgotten dreams Countless hours wrestling shadows on these walls I close my eyes but the light remains bright At long last when I sleep will I really know peace

I'm not sure about the waste ... though it certainly seems that way at the time. Later these moments become part of our fabric and can then be cherished. No consolation now, but trust me, my friend. Beautifully written, possibly your best yet [or at least of those I've read] Mike

Beautiful...we all have heard that voice at one time or another, and you expressed it so very well.

The hours are only wasted if we allow them to be. The mental sorting and housekeeping is essential, and so not really a waste. Lovely words well written. Thansk BJ
