Cannt remember seenig this one but well that you spoke of Bob ! Is he not the one who haunts the beach, clad in a sort of floating white shirt ? Now I must tell you that Maureen is fantastic ! Specially in N 3, 4 and 5. Better than Claire Bretecher.

The lettering is very good. It fits the style of the comic.

I love this one. Gives me a chuckle just thinking about it. Whatever tool you used is sneaky indeed - looks like your usual great work to me. Yes, the lettering does look very nice.

And an onerous task that is..Rozanne! I like the new font / brush? I use PROJECT DOGSWAFFLE a lot, and it uses optiustics, or something, to make your own tubes. I use it for grass and bushes. Regards, John.

Dear Rozanne, I read an interview a while back with a cartoonist and he talked a little about his lettering process. I'll see if I can remember who and where. What I remember is that he did his drawings with pen and ink, then scanned them in and used PhotoShop to add the lettering. I think it talked about the fonts, too. I'll see if I can find it. What I do when I letter something, is to create the text in CorelDraw and then paste it into PhotoPaint as an object. I find it easier to edit text that way tahn in PhotoPaint itself. If you can finda font you like, that would be quicker than hand lettering. And if you break the text apart in CorelDraw you can individually do things to the letters - maybe even procedurally do it with Visual Basic to give it a hand lettered look!!! Jsut some thoughts!!! I love Maureen - she jsut needs to be "discovered!!!" Love ya!!! Meredith
