Description

My apologies for using the same model and pose as the last posting, but I knew that I could improve on the look of the skin and this is the result - to my eyes this looks so much more realistic! I re-imported the model into Vue and upped the bump mapping factor, actually a bit too much. Default is 0.015 and I think (at least for this model) that around 0.03 will be about right. Secondly, I tried rendering with HDRI Image Based Lighting, which I have not used before. It is quite slow - but I think that the results are spectacular! I will certainly be using it again (and thanks to tlaloc321 for pointing me in this direction with his fantastic gallery of lovely ladies rendered in C4D!). Finally some layering of duplicates in Photoshop with different modes to subdue the excessive bump textures and hopefully to subtly enhance the realism. The result is not yet perfect, but I feel I am really getting somewhere with this. Don't be surprised if my next few posts are further experiments in this direction. Vue seems indeed to have that wonderful 'real' lighting! (Biggest problem in my app D|S is 'real' daylight though there are some software solutions for that to some degree..) Wonderful portrait!! Her necklace looks awesome too!!
