Description

(warning long sappy story with this one) A couple of weeks ago I found this giant swallowtail in my yard, he was fluttering around in the grass and couldn't fly. I guess he emerged from his cocoon with deformed wings. :-( I put him in my terrarium, looked up his preferred flowers and clipped a few to put in with him. I also sprayed water inside. I hoped his wings would unfurl but they never did..he lived for a few days which was better than being left at the mercy of the fire ants and lizards. I am a sucker for helpless critters. Anyway thank you for your much appreciated comments have a great evening! Please see full size for details Wendy

This is excellent clarity. You can see the textures on it so well. They never stay in one spot for me. Good work!

Aw, bless it's heart. You were very kind to try to help it along. Too bad. But it's a great shot, regardless. :)

You gave it your best shot (no pun intended). And to die from fire ants, well, sometimes Mother Nature seems to be so unnecessarily cruel. sigh You did a good thing!
