Description

Here's the second of three avatars I made for Morgan. This one's not all that different from the first I posted up a few weeks ago. Different camera angle to get a more straight on look. My favorite is the third one that I'll post up the next time I don't have anything better to post. :D Spent all day trying to get something else rendered up and ran into that nifty P7 bug where it likes to bomb out as you try to load a scene. Great stuff. For what it's worth if anybody else has run into it, they said it's got something to do with V4 and external morph targets. No idea what those are, but here's what they wrote back to me with. The problem you're having is most likely due to your use of Vicky 4 with Poser 7's default settings. Until the service release is ready, we suggest going to Edit>General Preferences>MISC and uncheck "Use External Binary Morph Targets" before attempting to use Victoria 4. Once the Service Release is ready, you should be able to use Victoria 4 normally, without this additional step. So after needing to re-build my render for tomorrow it took forever (well for me forever...1-2 hrs lol) to render and then I realized I forgot the smiles. So it's going again now...maybe it'll go up in a bit since it'll turn over to Thursday Rendo time in about 45 min. :D Credits for this the same as previous ones. John

Awwwwww! John! If you had posted this two days earlier it would have spared me a lot of trouble and I'd probably have a far better image in my gallery now... You should be more thoughtful! looool So this is the miracle of the vanishing Poser! Thanks a lot! Morgan still is a very pretty girl!

She looks beautiful and look very pretty the way you rendered her!!! I can understand how you felt with a rendertime of 2 hours!!!LOL I'm one of the impatient one too!!! I use onlyt the P4 render in my P5, because otherwise it need tooo long!!!LOL Hugs Ute

Dear John, I got over here this afternoon - and then the day went down the drain!! What else is new??? ;-) So - I finally made it back! Habe I ever mention ed it's not easy being me??? I have?? Often???? Gee!!! Hmmmm - Sorry about your difficulties with P7 and V4. That's crummy having to rebuild stuff. The "External Binary Morph Targets" has a very ominous ring to it!!! One of the big attractions to Poser has been the Wavefront OBJ format and the Poser CR2 format. Both are easy to manipulate externally and are both very "open" file structures. "External Binary" doesn't sound like that's remaining true anymore. And assuming they are making calls to externals like that, it's going to complicate life in a lot of ways. They would do a lot better fixing the problems they already had, rather than adding in now stuff to create more buggy problems??? Anyway - I remember her from before!! She's still very pretty and the light freckling is really cute!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
