Description
This a major departure from my fractals, but I present this image primarily to see if anyone has an idea what it is. As children growing up in this area we were told about the Old Fort.We explored it, and played there often, but no one knew who built it, when or why. I humbly submit this photo of a local legend. Enjoy!

I would say it was a Defensive position. A fort It looks to be constructed on high ground and high stone walls. I think if it was just for a farm building it would be easy to get in to. The stone would of been used but just as a footer as concrete block is used today. The rest of the structure would have been of timber. Taking a Big Guess North Eastern part of the USA

I have seen several what appears to be homes started but never finished.stone walls being constructed but never finished.always wondered what happened to the builder.as to this I have no idea.in my small town where I grew up there was a so called mansion that was used for a nursing home. I always wanted to see what a "mansion" looked like inside as our house was a one room with a remodeled chicken hut combined to make two bedrooms. a good friend of mine actually bought the "mansion" and after seeing the inside, I was not impressed.he remodeled it but still to me it was just a big barn

Looks like the remains of some old farm building. Perhaps the house itself, perhaps the "ice house". It's a lovely ruinds nevertheless, and what a perfect place to play and grow up around!
