Description

Oh man, this one was a really challenging one...
I don't know whom of you saw my post in the forum about having troubles to get this image rendered, since I was in serious trouble while doing this image. Vue kept on crashing while I tried to render at large size. Don't ask how long it took me to find out the reason for the crashes!!! Loads of test renders later I found out it was the procedural texture used for the cave which made Vue crash. In the end I had to render the four layers seperately and stitched them together in Photoshop afterwards. A lot of retouching and color correction was done in the next steps. Afterall I

Well, what counts is the result - and that is excellent. We are all happy that it worked out and that you now are able to produce a lot more images! :-))) Go for it Phil, go for it! Of course some extra strokes for this Woikal!

The light looks so good--it is like stage lighting for the wonderful, wonderful dragon. (And yes, the dragon is big too--I have trouble with him in Poser) The work you put into the cave really paid off, too! My one suggestion would be that you watermark this image--it has so much commercial appeal you may see it plastered on mugs and mousepads if you aren't careful!

Do you think he'll share his gold? I'm glad this one worked out for you. It was well worth the trouble. Congrats on getting it rendered and put together!

It's fantastic, the composition is magnificent and I don't think I would have had the patience to put so many elements into a scene like that. My computer would probably cry trying to render it. Certainly worth it.

Wow, very cool - I wouldn't have expected that such a scenario (especially the pile of gold) could be realized with Vue so well. Excellent work!
