Hey all,
I thought I would post this image , it was done for Cg Talks Eon challenge. The contest was based on a novel by Greg Bear which is an interesting book and you had to create a scene from the book . My scene is from inside the Stone looking at Thistledown . It was sort of tough to get the tubular look make sense. I also did a very short animation of it which was a requirement for the contest . This is an excellent attempt at realising an incredibly difficult subject. I think you've done a great job! I particularly like the bridges - exploiting Thistledown's extraordinary physics... Tremendous stuff. I know how difficult this is - Eon and Eternity are amongst my favourite books - on my hard drive I have an old image that attempts to capture the moment when Patricia first sees 'the way'... Not a hope in hell.. You have captured the incredible architecture, the huge enclosed space... Very well done!
