Description

WOW! In my absence I've been visiting the gallery now and again and I must say there has been some AWESOME photography uploaded in the last week! Keep up the excellent work, people!

So I thought its time I contributed something as well...
I have NO IDEA what insect this is however, so if there is anyone who can enlighten me - please do so! I would love to know!
Thanks to all my loyal visitors and for leaving feedback on:
- Lion's Head, Cape Town -

I truly appreciate each one.
And for those who asked: I use good old photoshop to stitch the photo's together - which means, I have to move and cut and rotate and edit colour until everthing fits together. A lengthy process, but it feels good when you get it right!
OH PS: look at this bug at FULL SIZE to see all the pollen and details! Ciao!

Beautiful shot Este Love the contrast between the yellow pollen n blue of the bug. The focus isn't the sharpest but that's no biggie. I think it's a wonderful shot! Thanks for sharing. Hope you are keeping well there.

That's a scary little creature. I like how the antennae seem to zoom your attention to it's head, and the bright colors it has.

nice composition with the leaf (?) coming "through" the shot, hard to do i know but a larger dof so you could see its body better would have put the icing on the cake in this :) ...So i'm not the only one who has been on a hiatus! :)

Aw, he doesn't look so monstrous to me! In fact, he looks downright handsome.....to another insect of his own species. Fantastic antennae he has going there. Nice macro capture, Este!
