You really cannot fake it. A scale model over a scale earth with scale clouds looks best. The range of dimension at first daunts. Early Phantoms had inertial navigators with rhumb lines. Later ones had creat circles. Mercator gave way to Lambert Conformal conic. The Chamber of Commerce protested. The Transverse mercator resulted. That was when the current Raptor was known as the Lighting II informally. My Diamond Viper video 8Mb came with a free simulation. I better close GE has asked for equal time.
