'They didn't give you the job?' Just another play with this and that. And of course the question why there are so many unemployed people in my country, regardless their experience, education, and training. It's not always that they look a bit strange... Great image and well said, and yeah it could be outsourcing thing. Converging economies and freeing capital while at the same time NOT freeing labour to move across borders can have that effect. In Canada the only solution to the effects of "free trade" seems to have been to shift efforts into the "service sector", with less than perfect results to say the least.

I guess it would certainly depend on what job was applied for. For instance, if she applied for "Exotic Dancer", "Bar Maid" or "Toppless Bar Bouncer"... one would certainly wonder why she didn't get the job. Seriously, this is a very good image and the posing of your characters is excellent!
