Description

"Fantasy is an exercise bicycle for the mind. It might not take you anywhere, but it tones up the muscles that can. Of course, I could be wrong." ~ Terry Pratchett

Taking a break from my Blurstraction series, here is a photo I took a school playground. There is something sort of melancholy about a toy that isn't being used, especially a shabby looking one like the tricycle on the right. By the way, I came up with the title for today's image all by myself. Pretty creative, huh? ;'] -----

Brilliant, and treatment, and the POV!

Great image. Perhaps we could see less of the walk...maybe a third. The part that is somewhat out of focus where that crack is located. That would draw our eyes more to the trikes. IMHO

I considered that Speed44 and tried it, but it just didn't have the top-heavy composition I liked after cropping it like that. Thanks though for the feedback.

Those are not the trikes I remember from my childhood. The look more like simulated motorcycles...dirt bikes. So maybe this is a group of little "Hell's Angels" stopped for some serious play. Great shot that give me a chuckle. x:D

I watched a special last night on the Harley factory, then American chopper. I'm looking at this thinking, perhaps it is some sort of genetic encoding that stirs the need for speed. Are we hard wired for it, no longer needing it for survival of the body from predators, but perhaps the survival of the soul from mediocrity. Well framed. Thanks BJ

Great shot, I can picture the B-line for the bikes at recess.

At the starting gate! Interesting composition of the mini vehicles, all waiting patiently for their owners to emerge from school. The only trikes that look in decent shape are the two in the middle, probably having just been washed, waxed and lubed.

How about TRIKES FOR TIKES...lol...just kidding. Your title is great. It looks like they need some work before entering into the Boca 500..... I enjoy shots like these, because they make you think what it must have been like a few hours earlier with kids riding them all over the place..

It's almost like an abstract. I suddenly "saw" my blue tricycle which my dad painted especially for me when I was four.

I like the way the eye is led up to the colors. Great work, and a good eye!!!

The Red Devil Trike Riders parking their vehicles outside the local playground. A showdown is about to occur with the Diaper Dans Pacifier Club....woohoo!! Haha...this is great! I just read Terry Pratchett's Hat Full of Sky the other day and was so charmed that I went and got another Pratchett book from the library.
