Description

I've seen these done before and thought I'd give it a go. I left my camera on auto mode for both exposure and focussing and just went nuts, hence the huge difference in exposures. The building is Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia.

Oh wow! This is very cool. I like the juxtaposition of choppiness and cohesion. The different exposures are nice! (I like the dark grass and feet. Especially the foreshortening with the feet. To each their own, hey?) Excellent work - very creative!

Actually, I was never totally convinced on the feet myself. I wanted to have them in the shot, but the random exposures only gave me this horrible dark grass to work with. The more I look at it, the less the feet (and dark grass) fit. Maybe if some of the exposures surrounding the feet were more like the other grass ones it would work better.

Brilliant collage! BtB for me the change in exposure of the shots composing the collage the adds to the strength of the image you've created!

For me, the feet MAKE this image. I love how you didn't feel obligated to fill the canvas. Negative space can be a powerful tool. What makes this image all the better is I know this building! I used to work only five minutes away from it!

Allow me to revise. I love the feet. The shot wouldn't work without them. I had intended from the beginning to include the feet. I just don't like the dark grass surrounding them. It makes them look like an after thought.

MMM But maybe its cutting the photo in 2 parts, the different lights seems fien in the building Its cutted from the light green to the dark green at the feets, the lower part is wrong to me and not for the feets!
