Description

some more fake stones! this time a self directed experiment....(which was fairly haphazard to say the least!!;)) I wanted the look of a boulder field, strewn with flint nodules etc...our neolithic ancestors would have valued such a place, and traveled from far and wide to collect this material to make their axes and arrowheads...upon showing this to my better half, she kindly let me know that it looked like a landfill site....hehe...who said there's no such thing as romance!! let me know whether it works for you...flint nodules or plastic bags!!! have fun this weekend, whatever you get up to! J

Looks like a lava field I saw pics of in Hawaii--not trashy at all! A cool surface indeed!

How it works for me: flint, for sure, about your image (great, by the way). About my romance, I'm sometimes in trouble...Have a nice day. Eric.

Experimentation and exploration go hand in hand (how else can we learn). Sooner or later, all this begins to come together. When a book on Terragen 2 is written, it will contain numerous volumes. Keep them coming Jason; and, great 'flint' work here!

Very nice, detailled render. These fields of stones look like some places in the Hoggar mountains (south of Algeria).

J M Auel had this in mind in her books I'm sure!! If you hadn't mentioned the plastic bags I wouldn't have thought that but now that you mention it its all I can see! I like this regardless - great experimentation. I look forward to seeing more!

Actually it reminds me of some beaches I've had the pleasure of visiting. Albeit the distant mountain isn't part of them. This is superb. Your rocky field is quite realistic and wonderfully done.
