Description
From one of my contracted photo sessions. This is the Olympic Lap Pool from Lakeshore Health Club in Colorado. A beautiful 75,000 Sq Ft facility in Broomfield CO. I have been doing multiple shoots for the architects that designed this for some time now.
No post work, just a photo. What is funny, I normally have an assistant to help me with furniture placement, external lighting etc. Not this time ha ha. So, I moved things around myself, set up a multi strobe system, and this amazing light came in around 6:30 PM ... So I hurry, paddle the water to create the ripples, do a 3 second bulb shot, and manually trigger the strobes to capture the ripples. I wish I had a video of me doing this ha ha! Fortunately it all worked :)

lol James ! Thanks, I will :) Fortunately, I did have help on later shoots, but occasionally I get this great lighting, that is 90% natural. To this date, this was the best, though in a Wyoming facility, I had brilliant sunrise lighting. Viewing your work, seems you do a lot of Architectural shoots as well. Kurt, I don't know how you could achieve a more perfect architectural photograph. This is phenomenal. Your clients had to be extremely pleased with this. In fact, I would want to use it in a marketing brochure if I were the owner of the place. Beautiful work! Hugs, x:)

Thanks Suzanne! The client was extremely happy, and uses this image as one of their main pictures at Trade Shows now :) Woo Woo! Tomorrow, will be an exterior shot .. Wish me luck, as I have been meeting with another Architectural Firm. The Holy Grail of Firms lol .. I presented more work yesterday, after over a year of meetings, with 2 huge meetings last week. I am hearing back from them on Monday. Stress? What stress lol :) Kurt

It worked excellent, and the somewhat warmer tone is a fresh deviation from the stereotyped blue so over emphasized on pools.

I would love to swim there.definitely pro quality. I work at a house years ago that had a large indoor pool like this but the water was black from neglect. I had my ladder up against a over head beam working on the rafter.I thought to myself if I fall I hope I land on concrete instead of the black gunk

This is an architectural dream photo.Very pro level of photography. This is something I want to do as well.My company has approached me to do some of the residential work, but have yet to start that. I prefer the commercial buildings though. Impressed to say the least on this.
