Description

This is an experiment with applying Orton's effect on parts of the photo, hence the color brightness and slight fuzziness. Please feel free to comment. This photo is dedicated to my friends in Minnesota and Winnipeg (and Michigan!) fighting the harsh cold weather and congratulations to Pat's first grandchild.
Congratulations Pat! The extravagant life of good food and wine eventually caught up with me and I am down with food poisoining. Dang! I'll be back soon. Thanks for views and comments on A PUB in a tree!

Love the wake of the speedboat, or, by golly, is that an automobile, akin to the amphibious vehicles James Bond employs in his worldly adventures? And, whatever postwork was involved in this creation is hardly noticeable. Also, my deepest condolences in re your bout with the dreaded food poisoning.

I have always admired photos with this quality but had no idea how it was done. A fantastic shot capturing the essence of summer. Sorry to hear about your case of food poisoning, my husband had that recently and its rough. Hope your feeling better soon.

This image makes me want to close my eyes and think of summer! It's like "away into the night they went..." but even better! Beautiful depiction of the landscape and very earthly colours! A very fine image indeed!

Ciao Piet ! So lovely Summer shot, lol ! That give me a sens of holiday ! Very interesting the postwork you've made. I never heard about those Orton's effect but it's a very good experiment. Did you do that with photoshop or another program ? The result is very soft and luminous. Superb done my friend. Hugs

Ahh you poor thing, been there, done that a couple of times unfortunately: - lots of fluids, bland foods: rice and mash potatoes, no butter or milk and stew apples in a bit of water are the remedies that worked for me! i like the composition and colour work of this peice. Get better soon. Jenny

There's a great feeling of energy [and fun!] about the picture. Whether that's due to the effect or your basic photography I wouldn't know. Mike
