Description

Scott Dallimore is not about to push the panic button. But the federal permafrost specialist says methane, one of the most potent gases associated with global warming, is bubbling out of mud volcanoes on floor of the Beaufort Sea. He and his colleagues at the Geological Survey of Canada have been sizing them up from ships. They have sent down remotely operated vehicles for a closer look. And, they have been peering into holes in the sea ice created as the gas bubbles to the surface. "They are fantastic things," Dallimore says of the "pingo-like features,

Great write up my friend ! As with any situation where you have more than 3 people involved no understanting or agreement to a situation will be found. It's debate, debate, and no action. Well done ! George.

An intresting image and perhaps for more intresting notes. I am somewhat in agreement with jocko500. What man contributes to climate change is very small compared with what not only happens here on earth but in the solar system as well. For me the jury is still out as those things that we can only guess at are not actionable, but those things based on a closed environment or a model of a closed environment only leave more questions than answers. Well that is my humble and perhaps flawed impression anyway. Great depiction though.
