Description

Sigma 105mm EX DG Macro. I went out with my camera yesterday and got some shots on the beach. This one caught my eye and is the first time i actually took note of the histogram in post processing in an effort to get the dynamic range up without using hdr plugins. Admittedly it (the shot itself and the increased dynamic range in post processing) was inspired by mayda's fantastic shots. So yeah, any input on that would be great - was it too much or did i get it right? Anyway, thanks for stopping by to take a look! Enjoy! Rich http://album.cogia.net

Excellent DOF and the piece of driftwood resembles a nugget of gold. Excellent composition and in my opinion it is pleasing enough, while not being a technical or scientific term.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought the depth of field was added post shot, but now that I see it full size I can see that it's geniune (and all the better for it). Beautiful shot.
