Description

Taken at the nature reserve near my house, there must have been hundreds of these butterlies there. They are a really pretty yellow on the top side of their wings but everytime they land they close them so that you cant see :-( Anyway this was the best shot I was able to get. I have to go do some studying...story of my life these days, I will take a look through the gallery this evening. Thank you for your much appreciated comments, have a wonderful Sunday! See full size for best color and detail Wendy

I think the DOF and sharpness make up for its wings not being open. Fabulous capture!!

Excellent image! And the butterfly is for sure hardly to see upon that leaf. Soon global warming will make butterflies in winter possible here too! ;>

Neat shot! I like the side-view and profile... don't fret about missing the yellow, the brown is quite wonderful as well :)

The butterfly sure knows what color leaves to land on so it blends in so well. Beautiful photograph.
