Description

Im still improving this planet during studio breaks. I replaced the upper cloud deck with some wind sheared stratus type clouds as the old ones it was suggested were a bit crap (i suppose they were a bit), plus a few tweaks here and there. I added some subtle breakwater on the shorelines in paintshop as we dont get that with isosurface water. Im still wishing for transparency for volumetrics but never mind, its still worth using isosurface water i think. Created using Dmytrys volumetric plug-in. See you all again soon. Shaun

Yep gotta agree those clouds are spot on. A lot of shadow cast in the image which is very natural but hides soo much :( The Iso-Waters look cool & thanks for showing them added. The post work works well. Great Atmos settings, overall a very impressive image Shaun:-)

I have to say that the atmosphere makes you want to stop and take a good long look - especially the essence of God rays streaming through the clouds. Definitely eye candy. A pleasure to look at, and a job well done.

I used to work in satellite meteorology and studied a lot of the physics (and variability) in cloud structures. You've really got color shifts related to water vapor content nailed spot on. Incredible work!
