Description

Shot taken in the bitter cold yesterday, it was below freezing and so was I !!!! This wonderful horse lives up by Whitby Abbey. When ever we go up there, I call to her, she gallops to greet me. I do not know her name, I call her beauty, for she is. Today, special for Tom Dart, who has a great love for the working horses. The mark above her eye is NOT an injury. It is mud :-( The fields are so muddy on her farm. Just started snowing here!! Hey ho, hugs to all. Diane.

Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder and I agree, a somewhat pitiful sight but adorable and full of strength! Unruffled beauty. Well captured and a splendid dedication.

Is she menopausal? My neighbor went through the change and got hair on her chin like that too! A lovely shot, Di, of a gentle creature.

I've never seen a horse with so much facial hair LOL! She is lovely though, as are all horses, and they always look a little sad to me. Hope she's got somewhere warm to go - I think there's more cold weather in store for us! Must get up to NYorkshire someday - one of those places I keep meaning to visit but my roundtuit gets lost :(
