Je länger man malt, desto mehr ist man Lehrling The longer you paint the more you are an apprentice.

Brief introduction: SaintFox is
-a woman born 1962 at the north sea coast of Germany.
-moved to the german midwest in 1996
-to a small town that offers a lot of medieval inspiration
-has at least two souls
...and about the nick: It's a mixture of my haircolor and a tattooed fox cub that I wear and that looks so saintly as a vegetarian. As long as I can think I enjoyed being creative - and I always loved learning something new! As I had my first look here I so much wanted to do images like the ones I saw in the gallery. But it took me several years to be brave enough to post my first image here. After all I do not understand anymore what made me hesitate so long... I'm a professional artist/illustrator, not at least because of the permanent encouragement of the "Captain of my heart", he's my muse, my secretary, my "wonderwall" against those things that are able to disturb creative processes so easily. Most of my work is published by a german gallery in Gelsenkirchen and available at my own homepage, too. In late 2005 I wask asked for my first collaborated works and so I finally found a second profession in doing my own characters and textures what enables me to give my images even more personal style.
Whenever I start to work on something new - especially when working with characters - there is a moment when the bundle of polygons and pixels suddenly seems to look at me from the other side of the monitor, it's the moment when my creations get personality. This is, at least, what I like to "transport" with my products: artist tools that are able to inspire the people that work with them because they have a kind of "virtual soul".
A woman under influence
Major influences on my work come from other admired artists and music. Some of my favorites: Jan Vermeer van Delft James Jaques Tissot Rembrandt van Rijn Hajime Sorayama Olivia De Berardinis Marcus Gray Herb Ritts Helmut Newton Alberto Vargas Ricky Carralero Gerald Brom ...and, regarding the feelings that I have when doing my characters: Dr. Viktor Frankenstein! Music: Too much to count, alternative and classics preferred but sometimes it has to be soul or jazz, too. The second large influence are people I met here: They comment on my images and help me to enhance them, they share their knowledge and finally some of them decided to involve me in their projects. For me (as I grew up in the before-internet-age) it's still some kind of miracle that people are able to work together independent of where they live.
...and, before I forget, the strongest influence during the last years came from some lines I read about 15 years ago:
Beauty is an experience, nothing else. It is not a fixed pattern or an arrangement of features. It is something felt, a glow or a communicated sense of fineness. What ails us is that our sense of beauty is so bruised and blunted, we miss all the best.
D.H. Lawrence

You knnow what I love more then anything about your images?/ The emotion they convey.. both the image and the details you give about them. Your faces are always so expressive and make me feel whatever emotion you have them portraying. I found myself looking at this image and reading the text and getting excited about a game I never heard of.. that my friend is good art!!
gypsyangel

Love the shaders on her outfit. Cool render!

You know...if they wore translucent uniforms like that it might get a wider following. :D LOL. Congrats. Never seen the game and honestly thought it was more like a racquetball sized ball they used. I'll have to look into it more. Sounds quite exciting.

She looks so lucky ^^ Maybe You feel this a bit inside? No-- of course NOT LOL Brilliant work with the shader- next time we phone You have to tell me how You got this effect- very interesting and I loooove the colours ;) Well I think we German need some more patriotism now. We often have a discussion about German, prod and patriotism these days. The city govournment of Potsdam wants a new City palace. What means they want to rebuilt the old one . This splits the Potsdam-people in two parties:one again and one for the rebuild. An often used argument against the rebuild is that when this happens we could ignore that the Germans have started two wars in the last century. I agree, this COULD happen, but it's not sure. In fact I am sick of the victim roll Germany takes although over 60 years are gone and the generations of Germans who live here now did not take part in the wws at all- even our parents did not. So I highly recommand the winning of sportsgames. This is the best sollution to fight against each other without war. And don't say thanks for this sunday- am glad I could help you , you know this kuddling hugz

She looks like a LOT of fun, love the shoes. LOVERLY SMILE! Reminds me of modern-day version of an old painter, I can't remember his name, real famous... Oh well it'll come to me.

I like the pose, but I don't like the hard lighting. You did that in several of your other pictures. I don't like it because it blends out the details. I understand why you did it but it is not my taste :-)
