Description

Made these from a sphere in Carrara, Export to 3ds, import to Bryce 6. Lots of renders and PhotoShop layers/modes/transparencies in the composite. Some were used in yesterday's post - from which, I made a whole panorama and equirectangular projection. Enjoy the nightclub! I guess it's time to add some folks in there dancing. But for now, it's left to your rich iimagination.

That's funny, I was doing a double take as I couldn't figure out how such a simple image could be so striking. I mean haven't I seen 3D shapes in a zillion books on computer graphics?!? Then I read Lown's comment. Yes, very fine colors. Wow! The shape on the right wouldn't happen to be 'fid' would it? (fid: a wooden implement for flattening copper foil around the edges of stained glass pieces before assembly and soldering into the final window.)
