a stop on the road by NothingNess

The seconds fall fast Yesterday, today Tomorrow is soon But a wink of the eye Awareness comes Life is not passing me by Minutes on the clock Cannot be stopped But while I can I am stepping out And directing time To think, rest and savor Every precious breath Grasping so much Learning all that I Never knew Careful to choose Every brick I lay On the unfolding road To make it count Make it last
Winter's purpose is to make me cold Appreciation of spring is the lesson winter brings

Such truth in so few words! The lessons of a lifetime, so condensed, with nothing left out! Terrific! BJ
