You wrote I would like to know the story behind this image. Is from the novels of HP. Lovecraft. Its the sunken city Rlyeh where the grate monster/god Cthulhu waiting since eons. He/it waiting dead but dreaming for the time then Rlyeh wold rise and he/it again wil be the lord of the earth. The statue is portraying Cthulhu. The creatures in background are deep-ones, servants of Cthulhu. Its not my avatar but maybe similar.
