Description


This was taken from the steps of Coit Tower in San Francisco. After taking dozens of photos from the top of the tower I was putting my camera away when a gust unfurled a previously dormant star spangled banner. I snapped the pic with Mr. Chris Columbus in the foreground. I had forgotten about it until I was at home looking through the film and saw this looking back at me and thought...wow this is unexpectedly good. I love it. It, to me, just feels like America. Thanks for stopping in, z.

Not exactly Mt. Suribachi, but the same principle at work... you shot "The Shot" and didn't know it until later! ;-)
