Description

This image was comprised of 9 shots stitched together. The location of the shot is near Muktinath , Nepal where the most sacred temple for Hindus and Buddhists lies. The small village of Jharkot can be seen bottom of the image. The altitude where the photo was taken was close to 4000m above sea level. This was the highest point of the trek I took with a friend and a family member. I could definitely feel the air getting thinner, especially lugging around 10kg of camera gear. =) Please see this image in full view to appreciate the scale of this landscape. Thanks for viewing.

great pano, and i think any photo does this sort of landscape injustice, you can only glimpse it's grandeur! Not knocking your shot tho, this is as good at it gets without actually being there :)

I know what you mean, I was originally gonna post this at much bigger size, because it looked more impressive that way. Then I remembered the 512kb size limit here, so this size was the best possible solution for the size/quality scale. But I fully agree with you, no amount of photographs compares to what it's like being there. =)
