Description
Another from Cove Palisades State Park. This park sits at the confluence of two of central Oregon's major rivers. On the left is the Deschutes river, and the Crooked river is on the right. There is a dam a few miles downstream from here, so they are really both part of the lake, but it's the thought that counts. :-) The land in the middle is called the island, and is not legally accessible, as it is the site of ongoing ecological studies.

A shame the island isn't accessible, would make a wonderful hike not ot mention the many photo opportunities from there. But I do understand and respect why it's off limits.
