Description

Based on a tutorial about HDR images for global Illumination. I resisted the temptation to put a teapot in :)

ya know, I wonder why they put the Teapot in the program at all. Ive never used it myself, and I don't think I ever will either. Unless I need Tea I guess. -RuKus

Because it shows more interesting reflections and shape than the sphere does for demos perhaps :)

The teapot is a testrender object. From a 3D view the teapot has all the types of surfaces an object can have (seen from a mathematical viewpoint). I has an outer surface, inner surface, culing surfuce, etc. For GI renders (and normal renders), it shows all the effects lighting can have on an object. Although maybe not as interresting as a human.

HDRI is pretty impressive, the only light in this was a small spot set to specular only to get that little shinny thingy on the spheres.
