Description
High on the windswept heights of the East side of Whitby, St Mary's sits alongside Whitby Abbey. A 12th Century Church, it is said to be one of the most unusal Churches in the U.K. I took this shot on my lone wanderings on Saturday. Piet, I feel another lone wander coming on.... LOL! Ahh the little church next to the Abbey, most people walk past this on the way to the Abbey without giving it a second look. Good to see it again.

How ancient is that. You do have a lot of wonderful abbeys and castles over there with such interesting profiles just waiting for a camera. Just think, our oldest building is only a couple of hundred years old. A lovely shot and angle.
