Description

High on the windswept heights of the East side of Whitby, St Mary's sits alongside Whitby Abbey. A 12th Century Church, it is said to be one of the most unusal Churches in the U.K. I took this shot on my lone wanderings on Saturday. Piet, I feel another lone wander coming on.... LOL! Have a wonderful day. Hugs. Diane.

Ahh the little church next to the Abbey, most people walk past this on the way to the Abbey without giving it a second look. Good to see it again.

Your lone wandering has produced and excellent capture, especially so from this low POV leveling the graves and church. The repetitive patterns of the tombstones quite artistically presented in this composition.

How ancient is that. You do have a lot of wonderful abbeys and castles over there with such interesting profiles just waiting for a camera. Just think, our oldest building is only a couple of hundred years old. A lovely shot and angle.
