Description

Sometimes, even grandfather's cry when parting from their grandchildren. Digital dphoadley saying goodbye to his digital granddaughter BatEl. It's been two years since I last say my granddaughter BatEl -she living in New York, and I in Bat-Yam Israel. Juxtaposed with this image is the photo that inspired me, and in which is depicted the REAL BatEl saying goodbye to my wife at Kennedy Airport after she had gone to visit them for a month this last summer. I. unfortunately, wasn't able to be there too. I love you BatEl, and I miss you very much. May G-d speed the day when you will return to your homeland, where you belong.

Dave, this is a beautifully touching scene, I like how you included the background of your wife and BatEl. Hope time will pass quickly before you get to hold her again :)

Sadly, it is the modern way for families to separate. Visits are a poor compensation for the daily contacts but better than nothing. Your grand-daughter is where she best should be - with her mum. I like the photograph of the real parting. It is a tearful moment when parting is imminent. At least the computer and the web-camera opens the possibility of you regularly seeing something of them all and the flow of words can be more relaxed than in letters.

Great job, Dave! Your digital grandaughter looks older and her nose is not as snubbed as the photo, but otherwise wonderful! You should come to the US! Then you can complain about George W. like the rest of us, LOL!

A stunning comparaison between the real world and Poser's virtual one! As Drifterlee said, you should go to the US to meet your family again, I am not American but it is a great nation (I went here 5 times, 4 of which for my profession) and always I took much pleasure to go there. The US are full of good people (although as in every country there are some bad villains too) and it is a marvelous to visit! As Clifftoppler also said, pending that great moment that I wish you heartily, you can have a webcam to talk with people you love Thanks a lot for sharing this marvelous pict, dear friend, and enjoy a nice weekend, Edouard.

A very charming image, I love the detail you've expressed with the eyes. The virtual models capture a tenderness even moreso than the real people.

DPH, just visiting around and saw this again for the umpteenth time and it always brings the same message to heart, "Yes, we do." Beautiful inspiration, beautiful execution of it.
