Description
This piece is a thank-you to Tony Hagger, whose excellent photos of Yorkshire are always a delight. I'm a long way from home, but it doesn't seem so far when Tony uploads a new pack of backdrops. I just like looking at them - the streets of York, the rivers and roads I know so well.
This is my first attempt at using a backdrop in Poser. I can spot a few problems with it - if anyone has tips to share or advice on improvement, feel free.
The idea behind this was to use one of Tony's shots of Whitby Abbey to recreate, as close aspossible, an iconic picture by Whitby's Victorian photographer, Frank Meadow Sutcliffe - if you want to see Sutcliffe's original, head for www.sutcliffe-gallery.co.uk; the abbey shot is on page 2 of the Whitby Streets gallery. Acutally, it's well worth browsing the online Sutcliffe gallery - many excellent photos.
Thanks for the photos Tony.
Oh, figures are Daz's Mike3 (with everyday wear and the morphing magical hat) and the Millenium Horse. Cattle are from Lyne's Bovines 2 at Vista Internet Productions.

It is a splendid work, a very beautiful backdrop from Tony. I live 6 miles from Whitby Abbey! Sorry, I cannot advise, I do not work in poser... Love the photography of Sutcliffe too. Diane.

Interesting piece. I think I would have gotten rid of the cow in the water. It kinda detracts from the rest of the work. Other then that little quibble, this is an excellent render. Very serene. Jay
