Description
South Bank Beach is a manmade swimming beach constructed in 1992 that has views over the Brisbane River to the city. The beach consists of a beautiful clear fresh water lagoon. Surrounding landscape consists of white sandy beaches, bubbling creeks and shady tropical gardens. The beach is well serviced with public amenities including showers and change rooms and is patrolled by professional life guards seven days a week.
This is the first in a short series of night shots around Brisbane, there were people swimming & playing in the water, but due to the lights & exposure there now gone??

This is a nice shot!! Definitey nicer than our southbank in Melb , ours is on the south side of the Yarra river and its relatively new redeveloped area. It seems we are slowly getting rid of the old industrial frontage and turning it into trendy accomodation units and restaurants! Id wouldnt swim in our river either!! Must visit yours one day!! Cheers.
