Some of you, like me, I hope, watch the Discovery Channel, and may have seen the segments dealing with Polar Ice cap melt, which inspired this final panel in this Triptych design; what REALLY raised my eyebrows was the "...total polar ice melt will raise the current ocean levels 2 to 3 inches; however, IF the Greenland Ice sheet melts, sea levels will rise an estimated 23 feet," factoid.
Those of you living on the low lying East & West Coasts, should really wrap your minds around that picture. Being familar with the DelMarVa region; I can easily picture the Allegheny area as the future "American Dover Cliffs."

I'm with you on this one. Sad thing is I have a video I taped off PBS over 12 years ago. I was called "After the Warming". Twelve years that we can't get back. Twelve years of denial. P.S. and I'm not a tree hugger.

I haven't watched those on the discovery channel. But I saw Al Gore's an Inconvenient truth and he says the same things. He must watch discovery too. Fantastic image and I hope people start paying attention. I read somewhere that Exxon Mobile is paying sceintist to say that there is no such thing as global warming. Tell that to the polar bears who are drowning because the ice they used to hunt on is no longer there or melts early. Anyway, BRAVO to you for bringing such a serious thing into your artwork.
