Hi, there. I'm David from Juneau, Alaska. My wish is that my photos will inspire. I'm passionate about photography, and I teach a photo workshop here in Juneau in the summer. I love when other people discover that their photography is improving because I'm also passionate about photography as art. It's why I teach it. Don't ever be shy about asking for help with your photography whether it's from me or someone else. Thanks and God Bless, David

Great capture in mid air Stuart

Superb capture - a much tighter crop could enhance it. (IMHO)

kipweb, I truly appreciate your opinion on this image, and I value other's suggestions for alterations to my images. It is routine for me to try many crop variations on images that have a great deal of negative space, but no matter what I tried with this one it kept losing its ambiance. And, so the decision to leave it full frame. Cropping is perhaps the one editing choice that is most subject to expedience. Were this image to be used in a montage brochure for the ski area or on a magazine page, no doubt, a tight vertical crop would be used. Here at Renderosity the emphasis is on pure art, and there are other, more esoteric considerations involved.

P.S. I know that as a graphic artist, you are already familiar with this stuff. I wrote it for the benefit of those less knowledgeable of the trade.
