Description

Seems as though GWB hasn't learned his lesson. We are being made ready for the attack on Iran. Washington came out with a load of nonsense claims yesterday about Iran supplying roadside bombs that had killed 170 US troops. Let's hope the American public have learned their lessons. Trouble is, even after all these years, the administration doesn't know it's Shias from its Sunnis.

Super image although I might not totally agree with your statement. Being military for the last 17 years I've watched our Commander's in Chief policies on affairs such as these. I believe knowing and letting Iran know that we know is GWB's way of trying to tell the goverment to police it's own before we police it for them...of course when it's me and mine that's on the line, I'd rather not let it get physical but the course of the next few years will test America's resolve and show those in the Middle East that we want peace to their region, so we may feel secure in our own. *Stepping off high horse, shaking hands with Republican buddies, waving to the camera, giving an evil look at Drunk Ted, going to my bank and making sure my big oil buddies deposited the money in my account" LOL

you know next year at this time we will be saying " Isn't it dreadful. There are 14,000 dead American soldiers and 651 European soldiers killed in the Iran war.

I Like the visual IR green look of this. Now onto the comments: "Seems as though GWB hasn't learned his lesson. We are being made ready for the attack on Iran. Washington came out with a load of nonsense claims yesterday about Iran supplying roadside bombs that had killed 170 US troops. Let's hope the American public have learned their lessons. Trouble is, even after all these years, the administration doesn't know it's Shias from its Sunnis." --Seems to me the president has finally heard we, the troops. I entered Iraq in fall of 2003 (october 9th), and returned home early spring of 2005 (april 1st). yes, I'm Infantry. No, I'm not a politician, nor a rocket scientist, or a power blogger. I am an American citizen & registered voter though! We knew as early as March 2004 Iran was funding Muqtada al Sadr's "Mahdi militia", but due to political expediency of needing Shia majority in the interim and later new government freely elected by the people of Iraq, it was "hands off" on Mookie, even after his boys took up arms at Fallujah, and we cornered them down to the Mosque of Ali. Seems to me, the President has heard the voice for change, and seems to me he has heard the nay-saying and doubts of Intelligence analysis. Serial numbers of weapons & explosives no matter how you slice it, is harder proofs than those of the WMD. So GWB is trotting it out for the doubting Thomases. Wake up and smell the winds of change... We can act, or we can react. Each has consequences, and neither are pretty. "you know next year at this time we will be saying " Isn't it dreadful. There are 14,000 dead American soldiers and 651 European soldiers killed in the Iran war." Fact: 1965-1975 US Casualties in Vietnam totalled out to 58,000+ Americans, 26 of which were women, whose names are on that wall in Wash. DC. That's an average of 5800 a year killed. Fact: Congress defunded the Vietnam war 1974. Vietbnam fell a year later--not to an insurgency but to regular forces of the NVA with tanks and planes. 3 Million Vietnamese were killed in the years of purges afterwards. Cambodia's Pol Pot, a bigger monster than Saddam ever was, killed millions of his people until his death. Fact: we have historical references within my lifetime of what happens when you pull out, when you lose sight of the forest for the trees, and desert allies. Talk about making America a pariah among nations! Fact: 20,000 Americans die every year in auto accidents, we aren't defunding Detroit are we? 800 Americans on average are dying in homicides in Philedelphia PA, should we pull out all law enforcement there? Fact: This is a war of ideology & belief. Their's versus Western Culture's. Our forefathers faced men who died in suicide attacks while we closed in on Japan's empire in the last century. Only when the enemy's will to fight on was broken, did the war end. This one will be no different. Turner-"We can act, or we can react. Each has consequences, and neither are pretty."Mmmmm.....Having that attitude will lead to trouble. Tony Blair and Bush are heading for disaster." Oh? I suppose we could all just stick our heads in the sand and pretend global terrorism doesn't exist, and shrug when the next attack goes off, sigh when no one we know is killed and say--"Gee, sucks to be them," and move on with our selfish lives. Cruzin --I've got one more year in this than you, But Howdies! da 'Rotter PS: Hoo-Ah imaging here btw. ;)

@cruzin Thank you for your service to our nation. That being said: Finding Iranian weapons in Iraq is like finding Canadian tourists in Michigan! Three-thousand Americans were killed at the hands of Saudi nationals trained and educated in madrassas in that nation. DO WE ATTACK THE SAUDIS? Being 17 years military, I submit to you this question: What kind of "police" work do we do with THREE CARRIER BATTLE GROUPS?? House to house searches using F-114's as taxis?? I've seen all the "evidence" I can stand from this gang of thugs. They've cried "wolf" too often and have lost the trust of the American people, not to mention that of the rest of the world. *Slipping off my "Cut and Run" shoes, and wondering why you refer to "Drunk Ted" when Bush is the confessed alcoholic, and cocaine user. Would you like to talk about Cheney? @ Hefrian Rotter Again, Thanks for your Service, but I respectfully submit that, historically, we made no positive difference in the destiny of Vietnam. Had we NEVER fought there, it would be as it is today: United under one flag. WE however, would be richer by 58,000 lives not to mention the wounded or the treasure. The NVA and the VC had one thing in common: They represented the citizens of a once-unified Vietnam. They were "The People". I take particular umbrage to your "Philadelphia anology": For that anology to be appropriate you would have to want FOREIGN soldiers doing "law enforcement" in OUR streets, kicking in our doors and strafing our citizens from atttack helicopters. Were that happening, can you tell me you would not resist, or at least resent that presence? Blood-soaked rationale such as these HAS made America a "Pariah among nations". Our heads have been "stuck in the sand". They're just coming out.

Iran has had a very non-cordial relationship with the US for dozens of years now. So now the Iranians look to the east, and see their neighbor Afghanistan occupied by American troops. They look to the west, and see their neighbor Iraq occupied by American troops. They look a little further east and see Pakistan, a country that is just about as Islamic and democratic as Iran - very Islamic and not at all democratic. The US don't mess around with Pakistan. They look even further east, and north, and see North Korea. A country that has taunted and defied the rest of the world, and mostly the US, for dozens of years. The US are VERY careful when it comes to North Korea. Why? Pakistan and North Korea have nuclear weapons. Lesson: if you don't want the US to mess around with your country, make sure you have nukes. Iran needs time to get nuclear weapons. There is no doubt whatsoever that Iran will be able to make their own bombs in a couple of years. It's not improbable that the Iranian government supports the insurgencies in Iraq and Afghanistan - those insurgents keep the Americans busy, buying time for Iran. Nice little tangle. Of course, G.W. Bush has the perfect solution - invade Iran.

What seems a little odd to me is that we went to war because Iraq was developing nuclear weapons but apparently they can't make roadside improvised devices. They have to get them from Iran.

Beautiful work. This is a very interesting and appropriate effect. :-) I agree with your comments. Actually mine would be so severe that Rendo would banned me ASAP. You see, you always see it from the U.S. perspective. Actually this mess that U.S. created in Middle East has affected our life and another mess in Iran will do things worse. Well it is very refreshing to see other people feel the trouble and worry about it....

If you get a chance to see "Once Upon A Time In Iran" do. Nobody wants to try to invade Iran, the Iranians would have nearly exactly the same reaction to occupation as the Americans would.
