Hey and welcome! My name is Brandy and I must tell you I'm obsessed with my camera. Whether its taking pictures of myself (as I often do...their terrible lol) or making my friends pose for me, I love using my camera. I have a Canon Rebel XT and I edit with Photoshop CS2.
I'm happily married (you may come across a picture or two of our wedding day in my gallery), and have been for three years.
I've been interested in photography ever since my freshman year of high school. I am currently a photo major in my 2nd semester of college. I've been using my Canon 35mm much more because of school, I sure do miss my Rebel. It's nice to go back and re-learn everything. Nothing is more "centering" than making a print in the dark room.
I've started studying color photography. I'm such a fan of black and white, I wasn't sure if I'd like color. This class has made me appreciate the colors nature gives us, and to realize that I can get emotion out of color and not just black and white. I hope to do well and do something with my education.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have.

i agree, it's very strong as it is. very interesting palette, and a somehow very disturbing composition. i feel like the mess is creeping up to envelope her. very fine work.

Something so innocent, so bear, so raw in her eyes. A look of disbelief, disgust and self-loathing - not indulgence. Traces of the filth and chaos of the wrappers she attempt to hide behind her remain scattered to remind her of the times in her mind she so desperately wants to pacify. Like a little girl, too hurt to cry, she is hidden but finally coloured as she grows to the fore of the capture. Perhaps for a moment, a brief tiny moment, the ritual painted her world blue. As usual, another deep, intense photograph. Leaving the image untouched lends to its authentic quality. Congratulation.

Very interesting. I like her pose...wrapping herself up. It says a lot.
