Description

ShadowWind, the horse, is gone now, but his memory lives on as a winged unicorn in the stories of enchantment and so it is with this thought, that this portait is drawn of him. It means a lot to us and I hope you like it. The horse started out as the standard poser horse, which then was put into Bryce, added the moon, water and rock. Then it was taken into Painter to pretty much completely redo all the coloring, lighting, effects, wings, horn, etc. Signature was then added in Photoshop. Truly a mixed medium creation indeed. I must admit that I was not expecting to see this kind of image in ShadowWind's memory - but then my outlook, viewpoint and approach to a subject is not nearly as creative or thoughtful to have conceptualized something as beautiful and ethereal as this. To picture ShadowWind as a living, winged unicorn is brilliant, deep, and positively original in concept. I surely wish that those like 'deestilo' who take the time to add their thoughtful critique, would also take a few moments more to read the accompanying prologue. Perhaps now that he/she has graced this render by the brilliance of their presence, you will not be forced to add 'brightness' to this excellent image, and "Wings of the Unicorn' seems 'title' enough to me - but what do I know - I'm but a 2D artist! lol. I am deeply impressed by everything this image says, but even more so by that which is unspoken from your heart. Great job my friend.
