Nice one - there is however a lot of grain, that doesn't help the image. Since it's an inanimate object, why not try a longer exposure with low ISO?

Thanks kjpwe. Actually I spent a long time working toward the grainy look. I have a hard time taking really crisp clean photos, so I try to making them interesting instead. I am not sure if its me or my low end camera, but I definitely have a lot to learn in this field. This summer I am planning to take my camera wherever I go and fill a card or two on a daily basis takings all kinds of shots. Maybe I can learn from that.

Beautiful closeup, which is not that simple without a SLR fitted with specific macro lens (and more, you shot it at f/4.5, not at f/16 or f/22). Excellent texture render. Congratulations, deserves the highest honors!
