Nope - that's Seattle, going Northbound on the Viaduct. Beautiful work, vhigh! This has a wonderful, evocative feel to it that makes me miss home, and I haven't even moved away! Straight to my favorites it goes. Thanks for posting this!

Auntietk is right. The city is having a big debate what to do with it. It's falling apart due to earthquakes and age. Some want a tunnel that will reclaim the waterfront and some want to rebuild the viaduct for less money.

Haha, yet another picture to put up as a desktop image and of course a favourite! you got all the details down perfectly, even the light pollution effect which the city creates around itself... and also as jillanelf put it , the halos are great!

On April 5 2007 I said; by Bill_Wa (online now) on Apr 5, 2007 10:36:40 pm [homepage] [delete] Enjoy it while it lasts folks, if our dingbat Mayor has his way, this will be torn down and a tunnel put in it's place. You have captured the Viaduct perfectly. It is now August 10th 2012 and the Viaduct is coming down to make way for a tunnel, a tunnel that will be bored through dirt that was sluiced off the hills, dirt that will liquefy in an earthquake. This may be the last image of a great Seattle landmark. THank you for this, it is muchly appreciated.
