Description

Sometimes the only one a person can rely on is him or her self. The answers to life's myriad complications often can not be provided by loved ones, counselors, clergy, and the like. Sometimes there is no answer. Sometimes we just need to take some time for inward reflection. The stories of Buddha, Christ, Muhammad, and nearly every other religious icon in history all share a common bond. At some point the prophet (or savior, messiah, or whatever you like) must venture off alone for a time. While away he receives an epiphany, a sign from God, or a revelation. The icon then returns; a changed man with a new message. When your subject feels he does not know where to turn and the Hermit appears in the spread, he probably needs to turn inward.
