Not sure what the parallel red lines on each side of the figure signify, and she looks like a batered housewife more than a soldier (holding a wet compress to her cheek), but even so, this is a most dramatic picture. While it doesn't look photo-perfect (the hair looks a bit too painted), it does look like it could easily have been an oil painting. Thie highlights in the eyes and hair, and the half face hidden in shadow are especially effective as mood setters. All in all, I think that this is a very good render, and I hope that you'll continue to give us more like it. DO keep up the good work. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley
