This is awsome, however two things puzzle my thinker 1. why would a starship need a smoke stack? 2. why would a starship need a water displacement line pianted on the hull? By the way where can I get this mesh? lol.

Most excellent image !!! very genial in concept to us a boat as a Star"ship"...lol...And you know what ??? It doesn't even look odd if you put her aside so many other spacecraft designs !!! Very fresh and original view on the concept of spacecraft !!! Bravo - well done !!!

I remember Starblazers. I used to complain that space is not blue. I was something of a purist in those days. This brings back some memories. Nice work and very colourful.

The ship was the Yamato in the Japanese incarnation, as it was the battleship from WWII refitted for space travel with one heckuva big gun. :) In the dubbed US version, the ship was called the Argo, taken from the story of Jason and the Argonauts. It was a really cool show that I caught the last 10 minutes of every afternoon when I got home from High School in the 1980's. I sure would love to see them in their entirety someday! --Ken
